Virat Kohli Begins Intense Training for IPL 2026

Virat Kohli has once again grabbed the spotlight after sharing a glimpse of his intense preparation ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season. The star batter of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru recently posted a training video on social media that quickly caught the attention of cricket fans.

In the clip, Kohli can be seen batting confidently in an indoor practice session, showcasing his sharp timing and powerful strokes as he gears up for another crucial IPL campaign.

With IPL 2026 only weeks away, players across franchises have started their preparations, but Kohli’s dedication has particularly stood out. The 37-year-old batter has reportedly been training in the United Kingdom under the guidance of assistant coach Naeem Amin.

The session focused heavily on improving rhythm, balance, and shot selection. The training footage marks one of the first public glimpses of Kohli batting since India’s ODI series against New Zealand earlier this year.

The upcoming IPL season is expected to begin on March 28, where defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru are likely to open their campaign against Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru.

RCB will enter the season with high confidence after finally ending their long wait for an IPL trophy last year. Under the leadership of Captain Rajat Patidar, the franchise secured its maiden title by defeating the Punjab Kings in the final at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.

Kohli played a crucial role in that historic victory as Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerged as the winners of the Indian Premier League 2025 season. During the campaign, the right-handed batter scored 657 runs in 15 matches, delivering several match-winning performances and playing a key role in RCB’s maiden IPL title triumph.

His impressive run included multiple half-centuries and a strike rate close to 145, highlighting his ability to dominate bowlers in high-pressure situations.

Over the years, Kohli has built one of the most remarkable records in IPL history. In more than 260 matches, he has accumulated over 8,600 runs, including numerous centuries and half-centuries. His consistency and leadership have made him one of the most influential players in the tournament.

As the IPL 2026 season approaches, Kohli’s latest training video has only increased excitement among fans. With RCB aiming to defend their title, supporters will hope their talismanic batter continues his strong form and once again leads the team’s charge in the tournament.
