Virat Kohli Instagram Account Restored After Brief Outage

Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli’s Instagram account was restored after a brief disappearance, sending fans into a frenzy across social media platforms.

Late on Thursday night, followers noticed that Kohli’s official Instagram handle had suddenly become inaccessible, with searches returning no results and direct profile links displaying messages such as “This page isn’t available” or “User not found.”

Given Kohli’s massive digital footprint, the unexpected outage quickly became a talking point.

Fans rushed to other platforms to express concern, while many flooded the comment section of his wife Anushka Sharma’s Instagram account, seeking clarity about Kohli’s sudden absence.

Speculation grew rapidly, with theories ranging from voluntary deactivation to a possible technical glitch on Instagram’s end.

Virat Kohli is currently the most-followed cricketer on Instagram, boasting over 274 million followers.

His global popularity makes even minor changes to his social media activity headline-worthy.

Although neither Kohli nor his management team issued an official statement, the account was restored within a few hours, much to the relief of his fans. Everything now appears to be back to normal on his profile.

In recent weeks, Kohli has noticeably reduced his activity on social media. Several promotional posts were quietly removed, adding fuel to discussions that the former India captain may be shifting his focus toward cricket and family life.

Reports suggest that Kohli charges anywhere between ₹12 and ₹14 crore for a single promotional Instagram post, highlighting the immense commercial value of his online presence.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Kohli’s social media behavior has sparked debate.

In the past, fans have humorously dubbed his Instagram account with names like “Adgram,” pointing out the dominance of brand promotions over personal or cricket-related updates.

His silence during major cricketing moments, including India’s Champions Trophy win last year, had also drawn attention.

On the cricketing front, Virat Kohli is set to next feature for the Indian Cricket Team Full Schedule 2026 during the white-ball tour of England, which will include five T20I matches followed by three ODI fixtures in July.
