The Uttar Pradesh-based franchise has replaced its previous emblem with a redesigned symbol that reflects regional pride, cultural heritage, and competitive ambition.
Owned by Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG Group, Lucknow Super Giants has continued to expand its footprint across multiple tournaments. Among prominent IPL team owners, Goenka has emerged as one of the most active investors, strengthening his presence across global cricket properties.
The updated IPL logo now revolves around the Gaja Garuda concept, blending mythology with modern sporting identity.
In an official statement, the franchise said the new logo carries the spirit of the city, the state, and the fans who have supported the team since its inception. The emblem brings together three powerful symbols: Garuda, the Crown, and the Elephant, each representing values deeply connected to Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.
Garuda symbolizes courage and fearlessness. It reflects the team’s intent to rise above challenges and play bold, attacking cricket.
The divine eagle represents ambition and collective belief, reinforcing the idea that shared dreams can translate into success on the field.
The Crown stands for pride and responsibility. LSG emphasized that wearing the jersey is an honour that must be earned every day. The crown serves as a reminder that the team carries the expectations of millions of supporters whenever it steps onto the field.
The Elephant, also known as Gaja, represents strength, wisdom, patience, and unity. It mirrors the cultural roots of Uttar Pradesh and highlights the unwavering loyalty of fans who continue to back the franchise season after season.
Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, described the redesign as deeply emotional and called it a tribute to the love and belief shown by the people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.
