The Indian Premier League 2026 schedule is now fully confirmed after the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced fixtures for the second phase of the tournament.
With this update, fans now have clarity on all league-stage matches of the 19th edition of one of the world’s biggest T20 competitions.
Earlier, the board had released the schedule for the opening 20 matches. The remaining 50 league games will now be played from April 13 to May 24, 2026, completing a total of 70 matches across multiple venues in India.
The tournament features 10 teams battling for a place in the playoffs, making the second phase crucial in determining the final standings.
Matches in this phase will be hosted across 12 cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamshala, Raipur, and New Chandigarh. These venues ensure a wide geographic spread, allowing fans across the country to experience live IPL action.
The second phase begins with a clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals on April 13 in Hyderabad. As the league progresses, competition is expected to intensify, with teams fighting for playoff spots in the final weeks.
The schedule also includes eight double-headers, with afternoon games starting at 3:30 PM IST and evening matches in prime time.
Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have a slightly altered home schedule this season. While they continue to play key matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, two of their home games will take place in Raipur.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings will split their home matches between New Chandigarh and Dharamshala, adding variety to the venue lineup.
The league stage will conclude on May 24, with matches including Kolkata Knight Riders facing Delhi Capitals at Eden Gardens. Details for the playoffs and final venues are yet to be announced, but anticipation is already building for the knockout stage.
