ICC Reveals Full Commentary Panel for T20 WC 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced a star-studded commentary panel for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, setting the stage for a premium broadcast experience for cricket fans worldwide.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka and is scheduled to begin on February 7, featuring 55 matches across eight venues.

ICC TV will deliver live coverage of every match along with a world feed service for global broadcast partners.

Fans can expect in-depth coverage that includes pre-match shows, innings interval analysis, post-match wrap-ups, and daily highlight programs, ensuring complete engagement throughout the tournament.

To maintain consistent broadcast quality, ICC TV will operate six dedicated production crews supported by eight broadcast kits. Nearly 45 cameras will be deployed across venues to capture the action from multiple angles.

The production will be delivered in collaboration with JioStar and broadcast technology partner NEP. In total, around 720 broadcast professionals from over 20 countries will be involved, underlining the global scale of the event.

The commentary panel features some of the most respected voices in world cricket. Renowned broadcasters Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, and Ian Bishop will lead the coverage with their expert analysis and storytelling.

Former T20 World Cup winners Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara, Samuel Badree, Robin Uthappa, and Carlos Brathwaite will also feature, bringing valuable first-hand experience of winning major ICC events.

The panel is further strengthened by legendary former players such as Eoin Morgan, Wasim Akram, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, and Ramiz Raja. Fast-bowling greats Dale Steyn, Waqar Younis, Shaun Pollock, and Michael Atherton will add technical depth, while Simon Doull and Katey Martin bring additional international insight.

Associate Member experts Preston Mommsen and Andrew Leonard will also contribute, along with Sri Lankan voices Russel Arnold and Roshan Abeysinghe.

ICC TV will introduce advanced broadcast innovations such as Pitchview and Skillview to simplify on-field analysis for viewers. Combined with Hawk-Eye, DRS, CricViz analytics, and Field 360° visuals, these tools aim to enhance understanding of tactics, skills, and match situations.
