Following the match, the Hurricanes confirmed that he would undergo scans to determine the severity of the injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite this setback, the franchise has given fans some positive news. According to the Hobart Hurricanes, David is \u201ctracking to be available\u201d for the<a href=\"https:\/\/cricbex.com\/story\/icc-t20-world-cup-2026-schedule\/\"> ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup<\/a>, which is set to begin on February 7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team emphasized that his rehabilitation is progressing well, and they remain hopeful about his participation in the global tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not the first time David has struggled with a hamstring injury. Earlier in 2025, he suffered a similar injury while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL), forcing him to miss the final matches, including the title-winning game against Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David\u2019s absence from the BBL will be felt, but fans can look forward to seeing him back in action for Australia at the T20 World Cup.
