The fan was questioning his performance and his commitment toward the state of Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arshdeep replied sharply on Snapchat saying, &#8220;What have you done for Punjab, Singh saab? People who still ask family for chips and cold drinks money are now advising me on Punjab.&#8221; This reply spread fast on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many fans on X and Instagram called his reply arrogant and unprofessional. They said cricketers earn love because of fan support and mocking them publicly is simply not acceptable from a national level cricketer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Snapchat video also went viral where Arshdeep called Tilak Varma &#8220;andhere&#8221; meaning dark and asked if he had applied sunscreen. He then pointed at Naman Dhir and said in Punjabi, &#8220;Aa dekh, aa hai Punjab da asli noor, te aa hai nakli,&#8221; comparing the two players by skin tone.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video was originally posted on Arshdeep&#8217;s own Snapchat account, which made things worse. Fans felt he was openly promoting such remarks rather than keeping it private and the backlash on social media was immediate and strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the field too, Arshdeep has struggled badly this IPL. He delivered one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cricbex.com\/story\/most-expensive-bowling-spells-in-ipl-history\/\">most expensive spells in IPL<\/a> 2026, giving away 68 runs in four overs against Rajasthan Royals, picking just one wicket while RR chased down 223 in the final over at Mullanpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BCCI had already issued fresh social media guidelines for IPL players this season. Punjab Kings management had also reportedly asked Arshdeep to stop vlogging after earlier controversies, but the off field issues have continued to pile up for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of Friday, neither Arshdeep nor Punjab Kings have released any official statement.
