The family of Shane Warne is set to receive a massive financial boost following the latest valuation surge of the Rajasthan Royals. Nearly two decades after a key contractual decision, the late Australian legend\u2019s foresight is now expected to translate into earnings of around \u20b9450\u2013\u20b9460 crore for his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back in 2008, during the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, Warne was appointed captain of the Rajasthan Royals. Beyond his on-field role, he was also given significant control over cricket operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the time, Warne negotiated a unique agreement that included not just a salary but also an ownership stake in the franchise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per reports, Warne earned approximately $657,000 per season and secured a 0.75 percent equity stake for every year he played. Over four seasons from 2008 to 2011, his total ownership grew to around 3 percent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the franchise\u2019s value skyrocketing since its original purchase price of $67 million in 2008, Warne\u2019s 3 percent stake is now estimated to be worth close to \u20b9460 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Warne, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 52, remains one of the most influential figures in IPL history. Under his leadership, Rajasthan Royals famously won the inaugural IPL title in 2008, defying expectations with a young and relatively unheralded squad.
